Gola Africa Terms and Conditions.

a. Acceptance of Terms

  • By using vavender (referred to as “the Platform”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Platform.

b. Changes to Terms

  • Vavender reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

a. Account Creation

  • Users must provide accurate and current information during the account creation process.

b. Account Security

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

  • Notify vavender immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security breaches.

c. Account Termination

  • vavender reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating the Terms and Conditions.

a. Prohibited Activities

  • Users must not engage in any illegal, harmful, or prohibited activities on the Platform.

  • Respect intellectual property rights, and avoid harassment or discrimination.

b. Compliance with Laws

  • Users must comply with all applicable South African laws and regulations while using the Platform.

c. Verified User Account

Users are highly recommended to verify their account, by verifying their identity so they can easily engage in transactions (especially rental transactions)

a. Transaction Terms

  • Users engaging in buying must enquire about the products, services and vendors they are interested in and use our communication tools to communicate and emphasize their expectations and reach and written or verbal agreement with seller before placing an order or purchasing product or services.

  • Users engaging in selling must Communicate truthfully and transparently, about their products or services.
  • Vavender is not responsible for the quality or legality of listed items.


  • Users engaging in renting / booking must enquire about the products, services and vendors they are interested in and use our communication tools to communicate and emphasize their expectations and reach and agreement with seller before placing an order or renting or booking products or services. (Rental Agreement)

  • Renters engaging in renting out or allow people to book the product or service must communicate truthfully and transparently, about their products (condition) or services.

  • vavender is not responsible for the quality or legality of listed items.

a. Security Deposit

  • Renters must pay a security deposit, equivalent to 200% of the rented period value.

  • Refund is subject to confirmation of the item’s return in good condition or no dispute raised within 7 days after the rental period concludes.

  • Deductions to the security deposit may occur to cover damages, late returns, or violations of rental terms.

b. Acceptance and Rejection of Rental Requests

  • Renters have the responsibility to carefully review and assess rental requests for their property.

  • Accept or reject rental requests promptly to facilitate a smooth transaction process, using communication tools provided..

c. Care and Safeguarding of Rented Items

  • Rentees are responsible for the proper care and safeguarding of the rented items.

  • Any damages that exceed the security deposit may result in additional charges and penalties.

d. Penalties for Negligence

  • Negligence in safeguarding rented items may lead to penalties (deductions) and additional fees.

  • Rentees are expected to exercise due diligence in ensuring the safe return of items in the agreed-upon condition.

e. Rental Agreements

  • Users engaging in peer-to-peer rentals are encouraged to establish detailed rental agreements outlining specific terms and conditions, responsibilities, and liabilities. (Reached using communication tools provided)

  • These rental agreements are a separate, binding contract between the renter and rentee and should comply with South African laws and regulations.

f. Review of Rental Agreements

  • Users should thoroughly review rental agreements before engaging in rental transactions.

  • Rental agreements may include, but are not limited to, details such as rental duration, specific conditions, and responsibilities of both parties.

g. Verified Users

Users are highly recommended to only engaged with verified users on rental transaction for safety and security reasons.

 

a. Participation

  • Participants in group buying programs must adhere to fair and transparent transaction guidelines. (should be stipulated at the group discussions or on the product description)

  • Vavender is not responsible for any issues arising from group buying transactions.

a. Quality Assurance

  • Course providers must offer courses of high quality and value.

  • Vavender is not responsible for the content or outcomes of online courses.

  • Educator must have the required skills and expertise to offer courses (Required by South Africa Qualification Authority).

b. Learners and Teachers

  • Learners and teachers must engage in positive and constructive interactions.

  • Vavender is not responsible for disputes between learners and teachers.

  • Learner must meet all the course requirements to pass (For courses with a specific qualification)

a. Fundraising Efforts

  • Vavender supports fundraising for grassroots movements and business projects.

  • Transparent use of funds is required, and progress updates must be provided to donors.

b. Fundraisers

  • Fundraisers are responsible for clearly communicating the purpose, goals, and timelines of their campaigns.

  • Refund policies for donations are subject to the fundraiser’s terms.

a. Job Posting

  • Employers must share job listings accurately and transparently.

  • Vavender is not responsible for the outcome of job applications or employment relationships.

b. Job Seekers

  • Job seekers must provide accurate and truthful information in their applications.

  • Gola is not responsible for the actions of employers.

a. General Responsibilities

  • All users are responsible for their actions and interactions on the Platform.

b. Refund Policy

  • Refund policies for transactions, rentals, purchases, and donations are subject to the specific terms and conditions of each category.

  • Users are encouraged to review and understand the refund policies before engaging in transactions.

a. Platform Use

  • Vavender is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Platform.

b. Third-Party Services

  • Vavender is not responsible for third-party services linked to or integrated with the Platform.

a. Informal Resolution

  • Users are encouraged to resolve disputes informally through communication.

b. Formal Resolution

  • Formal dispute resolution may be initiated if an issue cannot be resolved informally.

a. Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.

b. Venue

  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Johannesburg.
